These are some of the Locum Consulting projects I have worked on over the years. Rather than give a full overview of each project I have concentrated on the areas where I contributed most.

Biota!, London Docklands

Zoological Society of London

Biota! was to have been a major aquarium operated by the Zoological Society of London (operators also of London Zoo and Whipsnade). Between 2001 and 2006 I built and maintained financial models for Biota!, from an initial business plan through to detailed coverage of both capital and revenue sides of the project. Construction of Biota! was linked to the Silvertown Quays development which could not secure funding because of the recession.

Canterbury Capital of Culture 2008

Created a database linking venues, projects and funding sources for the Canterbury and East Kent bid for European Capital of Culture 2008.

Crosby Garrett Roman Helmet

Cumbria County Council

Estimate the economic benefit to Carlisle of having this rare Roman parade helmet displayed as the centrepiece of the museum's Roman collections. Although the Museum raised £1.7 million to purchase the helmet at auction it eventually sold for more than £2 million.

Cultural Framework and Toolkit

Research, conceptual work, text and data graphics for a framework and toolkit to help planners and developers to ensure that cultural facilities are developed hand in hand with new housing in the Thames Gateway.

Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury

Advise on possible sources of capital funding for the redevelopment or replacement of the city's Marlowe Theatre. Later, project how demographic change would affect the theatre's prospects. Construction of the new theatre on the existing site began in 2009, and it opens in October 2011.

Mummy - the Inside Story

Market appraisal and modelling for this exhibition, which incorporated a 3D virtual tour of the interior of the Mummy of an ancient Egyptian priest.

National Waterfront Museum, Swansea

Preparation of successful bids for HLF, Objective One, Welsh Development Agency and Wales Tourist Board funding for this award-winning museum which opened in 2005.
